I’m rushing out the door every morning for work without eating any breakfast. I tell myself I’m not a morning person so I leave last minute after fighting to wake up. Then for lunch I go for a local fast food like Starbucks, McDonald’s, or Safeway Deli. These foods don’t make me feel good at all but this video inspired me to take better care of myself and to put my health first because I cannot teach children to be successful if I don’t make my own life healthy and successful

It would be more appropriate to say that Black MALES should consider teaching as a career option. Black MEN will never survive in an environment where they cannot be MEN. Their leadership will be rejected, and they will not have the authority and respect that they should have. Teachers, particularly in urban schools, are attacked, cursed out, disrespected, and emasculated (The pay is beside the point but important as well). There is a reason fewer and fewer people (male AND female) are entering the teaching profession. There is a severe shortage NATIONWIDE. Colleges of education are seeing low enrollment, and a good percentage of people who do try it QUIT in under five years. How many teachers are leaving the profession 2023? 51,000 teachers U.S. number of teachers and educational staff quitting the profession 2020-2023. In November 2023, about 51,000 teachers and other educational staff quit their jobs in the United States.Jan 8, 2024 Quits among educational staff U.S. 2023 - Statista statista.com www.statista.com › statistics › number-quits-educa..🤓

In essence, blacks have been corralled into ignoring WHO they REALLY are, and misguided and divided by Christianity and Islam to make UNIFICATION of minds and resources impossible. To be an "Educator" begins with one's self, the social currants against structured it to suit their own delusions, now I've heard "Scholars" spewing what amount to coached IGNORANTS and surface based "Philosophers", the going backward and empty since "EGYPT". POINTS TO PONDER!!!

Wrong! The administrators and the dept of education do not support their employees. My son was a substitute and was assaulted by a high school student who was larger than him. The school pressed charges against both and the dept of education asked him to resign due to political reasons. You need to educate yourself on the reasons why so many teachers have quit since the pandemic and why there is a high trend of students assaulting teachers. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! Most states are moving to finally demolish the dept of education which is clearly against black and brown people outwardly! You havent taught since 1997, you are clearly unaware. Principals were part of the problem. Teachers are undervalued by administrators and the kids of today that are aware that noone can touch them with out losing their jobs. Go and visit the many teachers blogs and substitute teacher blogs and forums. Smh

Are you serious? If you haven’t taught recently, much less, in over 20 years , then you should NOT recommend that anyone especially black men subjugate themselves to disrespect, violence, usery and stress that comes with post CoVid teaching in classrooms. You demonstrate conviction yet you admittedly don’t know what your talking about. You are powerless against the phone and media scourge that ravaged classrooms today. Please please please go back in the class or chill with the pseudo do-good rhetoric!

Yesssa, Master P!!! This is so true!!! To be look at as a #Motivator, and even moreover, a #LEADER, is the KEY to guiding a tight ship!! ...#especially AT HOME!!!! But If it doesn't happen at home, FIRST... then it is fraudulent and hypocritical for it to happen anywhere else. ... this is why most 'Motivator and Leaders" FAIL in others environments mainly because they FAIL AT HOME!! Home FIRST; then First, Second and Third base!! ... But MOST wanna'be motivators just - dont - get'it!! Thanks, Master P!! You are DaMan, my brotha!!

“The Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys” to the conspiracy to build black boys into men. “You gonna have to make a decision.” My two sons are now married productive men with advanced degrees, and one is a father of two. My sons were taught to be Scholar-Athletes, now 6’5” and 6’6” everyone was always putting a 🏀 or a 🏈 in their hands. Instead of trying to hold back the tsunami, I worked with the cultural and societal stereotypes placing emphasis on scholar. The easiest way to convey this critical distinction is to link classroom performance to practices. If they missed enough practices they were not allowed to play. When their skills exceeded the coaches desire to penalize them, I kept them home from games. These parent to teacher/coaches relationships were cultivated and sometimes contentious due to my fighting teaching styles that are not conducive to African American males acquiring knowledge. The ignorance is on both sides thus teachers may have to teach their student’s parents how to be engaged parents by creating lines of open communication. Potentially frustrating is the by-product of dealing with an informed parent. Awesome presentation.
